    Next step?

OK, so it's been little over a month since we did the Women In Technlogy Lunch at TechEd in Malaysia. The feedback from you who participated was great and a lot of comments said "It's about time", "Why have we not done this before?" and "We want more time for networking". I was hoping for that kind of interest and we are listening to the feedback. But TechEd is only once a year so what will happen in between? What's the next step? Well, it's really up to all of you out there. This forum is one way of connecting but to meet in real time for a dinner, a technical presentation or just a coffee is something I would encourage you all to do.

In other countries they are doing similar things; check out these two links for some inspiration.

    Toronto Girl Geek Dinners

What would you like the next step to be?

Instead we could have something like this.. http://www.developerday.co.uk/ddd/default.asp which has been pretty successful over years. This is industry needs more from professional to professional instead of others to mature and uplift together..
