Has anybody implemented the OOXML specification successfully?
The OOXML specification stands at over 6000 pages and technical
commentary made on the specification so far has indicated some
technical issues that should be addressed in the next few months.
Has anybody to date implemented OOXML either completely or a
portion of it in your software project? If so, what were your
experiences implementing the specification? Which areas in the
specification would you highlight as requiring attention and
improvement? How did the OOXML specification compare against other document standards you/your team may have implemented from a technical standpoint?
I would also be interested in knowing whether your implementation
of the OOXML specification was done with the use of existing OOXML
libraries or did your team build the necessary infrastructure to read,
write and manipulate OOXML files successfully?
