a. So are sure you want to call this event "Lepak Session"? Maybe "Geek's Lepak Zone". Or something else. You can set a theme if you really want to.

b. Would you mind if we have this session twice a month? But the members rotate to organize this session. But since you founded off this Lepak session idea, the organizers will have to work with you. You want to sell merchandise, get freebies from Microsoft, invite Microsoft to share technology, compete in LAN games, etc - we can work things out together. Oh ya, since it is lepak for geeks. You can even go mountain climbing and talk about .NET on top of Mount Kinabalu. What do you think, citymouse?

c. The main organizer will earn 1 free starbucks drink (any of your choice). So quite fair that the one that does most work, get to drink for free :) So for this case, Citymouse will get one free.

d. I will share my transformation plan in this session too. So you all understand where is MIND really heading to. But it is still in progress and vague too. I am open for opinions.

a. I think (and if you are ok with it) keep it simple so I rather stick with just Lepak session for now and perhaps we can set for a better name and theme if the demand is good.

b. If the demand is good, why not? 

c. I think I might reserve that free drink for some other time. Let's be equal.

d. Great!! more topics / annoucement more geek power but please don't bring in sad news :(

f. We need some way to confirm the number of people  turning up. Any ideas?

For future events, I/we will work on an event registration application and host under new mind web server. It will be a simple one, hope no one hacks it. Haha. Or I/we can build some common MIND APIs. So anyone can create their own custom applications on top of these APIs. Will propose this in the Lepak Session. It is an open source project for sure.

 huh ?! then who will it send to? 

Oh well what I mean is that it will send to probably 30% of the members. Then it will be time out. The tech team from the hosting provider had worked on this for quite some time and they were not able to find a solution. I assume it is an issue under this version of CommunityServer. The tech team had helped so much :) Thanks guys.

Hopefully moving to a new server with new host will be a better choice :)

Hey Wen Ching and Citymouse,

I would join though I prefer it earlier in the day. I shall send out the e-mail over this long Deepavali weekend.

May not have much to show as I just started my Microsoft-centric job.

Have not even got my own Web-based service working full steam yet too.

I shall think of something to show. MSN to remind me.
