There are JQuery, Sliverlight 2.0, VS2010, .NET 4.0, ekonomi crysis, mama-mia, red-alert 3, 1st android on HTC waters that we can blow water on.. interested?

Prefer weekend if possible.

November Lepak Session

Objective : Social Networking & Chillout

Target Audience : .NET Geeks

Benefits of attending : Recharge your geek power

Some geek topics :  

1. Some day to day software development problems encounter plus tips and tricks

2. New cool tools / gadgets on the block.

3. Games lap around

4. Chill and "show-off" your geek-power!! 

This is will be a real lepak session therefore everyone can be a speaker, everyone can give opinions and everyone can show-off. If you only come for the free drink then better don't come. Bring your laptop / pda if you want to show off your work or get helps but at your own risks.

- If there is any disagreement occurs during any discussion, please resolve it like a geek.

- The organiser will not bear any responsibilities of any injuries, lost or stolen, loss of geek power or any possible incidents occur before, during and after the session.

- Attendance are subject to pay for their own refreshments. Unless stated.

Wow. Very detail. I appreciate that :)

a. Where do you plan to mamak? Not sure mamak got enough space if a lot of people come. Make sure got indoor, in case it rains. Prefer somewhere reachable by LRT. Fair for everyone. But not in KL.

b. Which date are you looking at? How about Saturday, November 1, 2008?

c. As for the drinks, let me think about it.

d. We can talk about .NET development or other areas as long there is no bashing. 

e. I have some freebies to give. Citymouse, do you want to leverage on this? If yes, check below:

i. We can talk about Jetbrains tools. Not really marketing. Those who can share his/her current experiences on any Jetbrains product, will walk away with an original license. There will be only 1 winner. The winner will be voted by the participants who attend. So it is fair. The winner will choose either one of the products below. To participate, you have to bring your laptop and show your kungfu moves:

cool.. I must admit I'm not the best player on C&C or FPS games but I'm looking forward to join.

Please do the mail blast for 1st Nov and see how's the turn out. Need some form of attendance confirmation tho.  

As for the attendance, if there is 10 people ... I am indeed happy though :) More people the merrier for sure. Maybe you can consolidate all this information as above, and I email blast soon. We can get them to contribute in this thread to get more new ideas driving it.

Actually I played Tiberiums Wars, not the new expansion pack. But should be the same I guess haha.

How about Starbucks in KL Sentral? There less people and reachable by LRT.

As for the time, I will let you decide either afternoon or night :)

After thinking awhile, maybe MIND will not sponsor drinks. Try not to make it a habit, like you said earlier ... people come for the drinks instead should come for the contents & sharing. Furthermore, the drinks at Starbucks are not that expensive right. Are you okay with that, citymouse? However, those who attend these lepak session will have an added advantage. In case next time we have bigger events, they will be prioritized. It will be kind of encouragement.

Ok StarBuck @ KL Sentral it is then. I think this time let's make it in afternoon where the "geek" power still "strong" in the air rather than in the evening.
